7 thoughts on “Getting to Know Seattle: Gorgeous Rhodies

  1. When I was a little girl in Scotland, I used to walk from my house to my grandmother’s house – about four blocks in a residential area. There was a small garden in the y of where one street branched off into two streets. It was small and the only thing planted there were about eight rhododendrum bushes. When they were in bloom, I thought they were the most beautiful things I had ever seen. I still feel that way. Incidentally, when I was back in Scotland in 2017, I did that same walk. The rhodies were still there, but I suspect not the ones I used to see seventy years ago. I think Scotland also has a good climate for rhodies.

  2. for Ada: This story makes my heart smile. Love that the rhodies, new or old, are still there.

  3. Actually, thinking about them makes my heart smile, too. Seeing any rhodies brings me back to my childhood in Scotland……………happy memories……………

  4. for Ada: Would like to hear more about that part of your life. 🙂 Lots to talk about when we are next together.
