Conscious Aging: My Inner Gardener

Both Nicki and Tia Phyllis have been encouraging me to establish an herb garden. Voila! Here it is. Just planted, so nothing sprouting yet. I’m hopeful. 🙂

The box is inside overnight now, as it still gets a bit chilly, but will stay outside when it’s consistently warmer.

  1. Congratulations – you did it! And you’re doing the right thing by keeping it warm till seeds sprouts. You’ll probably use these 4 herbs a lot. Keep us posted with photos of their progress. If you use rosemary, or like the scent of it, it may grow as a perennial bush in Seattle. It does here; not sure if it would be overall warm enough at your place.

  2. for Phyllis: Rosemary actually does grow here as a perennial bush — quite large in some yards. I don’t have any, but my neighbor does. His is quite overgrown — he doesn’t really tend or trim anything.I’m excited about the herbs. I actually got five packets but they said to start with four so the planter wasn’t too crowded.
