Safe to say we haven’t had a sitting president with so many potential legal landmines that we need a scorecard to keep track.
Less predictable was the fact that Trump’s base couldn’t care less. They are enjoying the reality TV version of the presidency too much to notice all the corruption.
This is the most succinct summary I’ve found of the investigations swirling around Trump, his family, and his close associates. Hoping one or more hits gold — maybe the insurance fraud. That’s a real crime with major consequences, and easier to prove than something where you have to prove intent. Having Trump go down for insurance fraud would be like Al Capone going down for tax evasion. It’s the crime they could prove, not the worst of what either man might have done.
