Conscious Aging: Friendship

Friend Louise is having knee replacement surgery on Monday, and I’m going to be there for the day and then stay with her for a week or so when she comes home from the hospital. She and I went to a prep lecture to know what to expect. We heard a lot about wound care and drains and restoring mobility, and about the relative normalcy of this kind of procedure with an aging population.

I’m not so great at wound care and stitches and drains and pain pumps, but I am good at friendship. I think we’ll do just fine. 🙂
