Panama Day 6: Driftwood

Huge chunks of driftwood get thrown up on the beach by storms and high tides, and the hotel gathers the best ones and makes art work of them. Here is one finished piece, behind the reception desk in the lobby of the hotel. And here are two candidates for attention that I saw on my beach walk. I imagine these things weigh a ton and are not easy to move.

  1. for Katie: These really are magnificent pieces. There are three or four around the complex, all beautiful.
