Adding the Christmas Star

Friend and regular reader Ada wondered why my Christmas tree didn’t have a topper, an angel or star or snowflake or something. Amazon delivered, and the gold sparkly star is now in place. 🙂

  1. We have a “star” that we bought in the sixties. The kids called it the disco star. The heat from the light moves the colored panel inside the star, giving a disco effect. Our daughter put first dibs on it, but our grandson, Evan, felt he should have it! Through diligent research I was able to discover that it is still made, so we bought Evan his very own. It is a little different in that they have made it safer. Guess regulations were different in the sixties. I will try to send you a picture!

  2. for Ada: Our family star was a cheap plastic thing, although it looked nice. The base has split, and there’s no gluing it or anything. Sara manages to nurse it along. Glad you were able to find a new disco star for Evan.
