Pike Place Market is Seattle’s best known public market, and it’s open year round. Each of the neighborhoods has its own seasonal public market, including Queen Anne where I now live. In addition to fruit and vegetable and specialty food vendors, there are often musicians who set up shop and play in hopes of a tip. Archie calls this young musician “cello man”, and is fascinated to hear him play. I give Archie a dollar, and after he’s listened enough, he goes up and shyly puts the money in the young man’s tip basket.
Queen Anne’s seasonal public market is in full swing, and cello man is back.
