Getting to Know Seattle: Lunch on Bainbridge

The food options in Seattle are pretty great. Grilled peaches with burrata and pesto. Warm dates wrapped in bacon. Good sourdough bread. A chilled glass of white wine. We had deviled eggs with lobster too, just to the left of these plates.

You never have to settle for McDonald’s here.

  1. for Phyllis: Blog post tomorrow with explanation, but here ’tis ahead of time:
“Burrata is a fresh Italian buffalo milk cheese made from mozzarella and cream. The outer shell is solid mozzarella, while the inside contains stracciatella and cream, giving it an unusual, soft texture. Wikipedia” Readily available in our markets and popular in restaurants, not just Italian ones.
