Philadelphia Day 5: Kimmel Center

Last night we went to the Kimmel Center to hear the Philadelphia Orchestra with a performance by a magnificent pianist, Helene Grimaud. After the concert, we had a tour of backstage with a friend of the Seattle Chamber Music Society, Roberto Morales, who is principal clarinet with the Philadelphia Orchestra, and his wife Amy Oshiro-Morales, a violinist with the Orchestra.

For music lovers, we heard Brahms Piano Concerto #1 in D Minor, and Schumann Symphony #4 in D Minor. Both got standing ovations.

  1. for Katie: The Kimmel Center is quite wonderful, and the pianist/orchestra performance were great. Last night we were at the chamber music venue in the Kimmel Center, but no pics of that as I left my phone at hotel on charger. 🙂
