My actual birthday passed quite happily: a sunny day in Seattle, some quick shopping for a few new tops to take on my trip to Philadelphia, wine and cheese on my new deck with Louise, lots of calls and cards, both virtual and the paper kind that you get in the mail, online messages on Geni, on which my older sister Linda took pains to develop an elaborate family tree. I feel richly celebrated.
Sunday breakfast with Matt and Amy and the kids continues the birthday season, followed by the opera and dinner with Louise. Aida, which Louise says is a classic I couldn’t miss.
I made two of Nicki’s gift of freshly laid eggs for breakfast, and they really, really do taste different. 🙂
