Trump and the Mueller Investigation

With Republicans in Congress having completely caved on holding Trump accountable for anything, I’m wondering what will come of the Mueller investigation in the end? I’m hopeful, but cautious. Richard Nixon was a deeply flawed man, but he bowed to the rule of law and to the visit of senior senators like Barry Goldwater who told him it was time to go. Trump has no respect for law; he sees it as something to be toyed with, evaded, ignored. He also has no respect for Republican leadership, who are unlikely to repeat a Barry Goldwater visit.

I want to know the truth, I care about it, and I trust the Mueller investigation to deliver it. I fear that Republicans will work hard to bury whatever Mueller finds. Failing that, they will continue to trash the search for justice and people like Robert Mueller and his team.

These are perilous times.
