Leask Clan Marches on Tartan Day in New York

Friend and regular reader Katie Leask Capitulo and her extended family marched yesterday in the Annual New York City Tartan Day Parade. I marched with them last year and had a wonderful time. We followed the parade by enjoying a Scottish meal at a mid-town restaurant where we sampled haggis.

Kudos to everyone who showed up in fact and in spirit!

  1. for Katie: My family always went to an Irish pub in Kearny after funerals — and then the place closed. When my mother died, she wanted us to go to an Italian place. It just felt wrong. Hoping the Irish pub was a suitable substitute. 🙂
