The amount of turnover at senior levels in the Trump administration really is quite startling, but if we’re to believe Trump wingman Chris Ruddy, Trump thinks everything is going just fine. By the rules of Trumplandia, everything probably is.
The rules go something like this: Trump tires of people easily, and he can’t abide anyone getting more limelight than he does. As soon as he thinks someone is becoming visible — unless the activity is masked with near-constant Trump flattery to distract and reassure the Narcissist in Chief — out the person goes.
That will work only as long as you think running the country is no more complicated than running Trump’s branding and marketing business.
Is that what Trump voters think?
