The Move: In the Palm of My Hand

Jerry kept this on his desk at work. I’m not sure what it is, actually — looks a bit like a Buddha, but also looks like a chimpanzee with head in hands. The wooden piece is small, fits in the palm of my hand. He loved it, and it said something to him.

I may be getting rid of the screen — not Jerry’s desk, or the Asian chest, and certainly not this little guy.

  1. for Katie: I think that’s true. And this is a simple piece, small enough to fit in the palm of my hand. But it meant something to Jerry, and so it means something to me.

  2. for J: It is a keeper. It’s a small thing, fits in the palm of my hand. But Jerry liked it and kept it on his desk, and so I keep it there too.
