Getting to Know Seattle: More Signs of Spring

In my former home town of Rochester, NY, early March is still pretty cold and can be quite stormy. We had major snow right into the middle of April. Our locally owned grocery chain, Wegmans, always brought in small bunches of daffodils right about now, which they sold at an inviting price. Jerry always came home from grocery shopping with several bunches, which we put all around the house.

Here in Seattle the early daffodils are in the ground, but the lovely memories and anticipation of spring attaches to them too.
