Small Town Maine: Rockland

The Conference is actually in Camden, but the Strand Theater in Rockland live-streams a high definition feed. Since Paul and Jeanne live just outside Rockland, we elected to attend the Conference events there.

Maine is filled with charming small towns, and Rockland seems to hold its own in terms of a vibrant main street. The Farnsworth Museum is here, and numerous small shops that sell both to locals and to the heavy summer tourist trade. There are some great, indeed world-class restaurants, including Primo’s. Rockland is right on the water, so there are numerous small water craft — both pleasure and fishing boats — in the harbor.

A great place to live, or to visit.
