Conscious Aging: My Latest FitBit Goal

My resting heart rate as measured by FitBit is 51 BPM — likely because of all the exercise I do. I have a new, completely random goal: to get down below 50BPM, to at least 49 BPM. Why do I want to do this?

Simply because I think I can. 🙂

  1. My resting heart rate is considerably higher than that. But I don’t exercise as much as you do, and I am eight years older. When I come to visit, I hope you will be able to slow down a bit when we do that walking to the crumpet shop!

  2. for Ada: Absolutely! I do my thing, and I happily adjust to the pace of whomever I’m with. It’s about the company, not about running anyone’s legs off. 🙂

  3. for J: I’m liking the reinforcement of the FitBit. Fine balance, though, between how much I’d like to work out and what my joints will tolerate.
