The rain held off yesterday, so after a hard YMCA workout on Saturday, I was able to do a brisk 90 minute walk along the waterfront. I got in my 12,000 steps, which is a decent start to a seven-day period when travel is going to disrupt my overall weekly goal.
In the summer, I tend to focus on flowers and birds along the path. In any season I’m aware of seals that pop their heads above the surface of the water. And now, when things along the path are much more stark, I pay more attention to what washes up onto the beach or the rocks.
I have no idea what this might be, or where it might have come from. Interesting, yes? It was floating just along the shore.
