Getting to Know Seattle: Gorgeous Fall

Seattle weather can be pretty dodgy from October through April, ranging from cloudy to drippy to drenching rain — which becomes feet and feet of snow in the mountains — and back to damp fog. All this wetness is why we’re emerald green and so beautiful for much of the year.

That said, we’ve had a gorgeous October — warm and sunny and with great fall color. I’m savoring every moment.

  1. Seattle is a lovely, beautiful city. I love everything about the fall: the colors, the weather, and food, EXCEPT that it leads to winter, my most unfavorite time of the year. We, too, have had a nice fall, the warmest in history.
