Conscious Aging: My Food Tastes

When I’m on my own on a Saturday night and eating in, my food choices clearly show that my tastes are going to hell in a hand basket: a chilled glass of good white bordeaux, and low fat peanut butter on low salt Triscuits. Honest to God, it’s close to my favorite meal — surrounded as I am in Seattle with all manner of high end gourmet and diverse ethnic eateries. 🙂

  1. Sometimes plain and simple is the best! Art & I just had a flashback meal – peanut butter and marshmallow cream sandwiches. We put just a bit of each on a good bread and it was wonderful. Not a habit, however!

  2. for Phyllis: Jerry loved that combo — used to call it a fluffernutter. He ate it all the time growing up. On Wonder Bread, though, I think. 🙂

  3. Love that you know your favorites. My all time favorites are pizza, ice cream, pancakes, and, of course, wine! Not as healthy as your triscuits with low salt peanut butter. You could be a triscuit spokeswoman!
