Lily in Honduras: Caves, Waterfalls, Ruins, Banana Splits

Lily and the friends who are hosting her have visited caves, a waterfall, more churches, a local pharmacy, ruins, and they continue to sample local food. Apparently banana splits are universal. 🙂 I asked Lily where she met the young men, and she said they are pharmacists like her. They all met at a conference in Panama City, and have stayed in touch via the internet. Carlos Ramon and Carlos Eduardo were very happy to have her come and visit, and like all of us, they are proud to show off their country.

There are two Spanish words that I love, just because they are fun to say. One is cataratas, which means waterfalls. The other is rascaceilos, which means skyscraper. Honduras has the first, but unlike Panama City, very few of the second.
