Trump’s Wall

Those of you who share my sense on an intuitive level that Trump’s wall along the Mexico-U.S. border is a terrible idea may want to read this in-depth assessment from Brookings:

One of the many frustrating things to me about the Trump presidency is his willful disregard of any deep, complex, or even basic factual analysis. Trump’s core supporters believe that people who cross the Mexican border are bad, and Trump is going to indulge them come hell or high water with a wall and a lot of heated rhetoric.

Is funding for the wall worth shutting down the government, if it comes to that? For Trump, it may be.
