For many of us, it’s still a head shaker that the least qualified male candidate for U.S. president defeated the most qualified woman. Where have we heard and seen this before?
The New York Times has a strong piece on why more women aren’t CEO’s, developed by interviewing women who almost were. At one point, those of us who support women rising to the top jobs thought it was a pipeline issue. Now, it’s clear that the barrier is much more than that. In the words of the near-CEO’s, it’s about “loneliness,
competition and deeply rooted barriers”.
I was taken aback at the depth of the vitriol directed at Hillary, by both men and women. I guess I shouldn’t have been.
