Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah

People tend to mock these trolley tours a bit and call them touristy, but Phyllis and I are tourists — and for me this is the first visit to Savannah. We have a car, but navigating the narrow streets of the historic section is challenging, and parking is very limited. Signing on for Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah seemed like an excellent idea, and after a wonderful breakfast at Roussell’s Garden B&B, a van arrived to take us to the departure spot. There are fifteen stops, and you can get on and off all day at will. Then the van brought us back to the B&B. I’m a fan.

  1. Glad you took the trolley tour Our friend Remy from Savannah recommended this as an excellent way to see Savannah as driving and parking in the historic district is terrible. Besides, the cobblestone streets make walking difficult.

  2. for Ron: Parking is very difficult. The trolley drivers do an amazing job of navigating the narrow streets.

  3. for Katie: Posted a blog awhile ago on which stories to start with — hope that helps. Look forward to talking Flannery with you.
