Getting to Know Seattle: Cherry Blossoms

I gather the cherry blossoms in Washington D.C. were out early as a result of a warmer-than-normal winter, then got a rude awakening from a late winter snow. Our Seattle blossoms are coming out, and although we’re still wet, the temperatures are fairly mild. Karen’s garden is beginning to show blooms of all kinds, and is loudly signaling spring.

  1. We had 2 days of power outages with no school. And 2 days of snow no school! That would be 4 days of kids home from school within 6 days!
