Panama 2017: Beachside Lunch

Ita’s gang came to the pool on Tuesday — abuela Ita, Jarin, Neilys, and the two small grandchildren Christian and Sebastian, who have returned to Panama with their mother Janelys after her U.S. marriage broke up. Teri was also here. The condo doesn’t really lend itself as easily as the villa did to having a lot of people come and swim — there are no designated beach towels, for example — so I took everyone to the hotel pool. They have a new lunch spot right on the beach, which was really lovely in the heat of the day.

  1. for J: It really takes a long time to keep everyone straight, so I try to link everybody back to Minga as best I can.
