Who Voted How?

I am absolute confirmation that we read the news sources that conform to our own preconceived notions, rather than trying to cross over and understand the other side. I wouldn’t read Breitbart news, or watch Fox on TV, if they were the last sources available on the planet. I do read Brookings.

Here’s a really interesting analysis of who voted how.

In short, high-output American went for Hillary in a big way. Low output America went for Trump.

Politics is all about directing resources. If Trump really directs government resources toward low output America — and it’s not at all clear that he will, since his Cabinet is composed of wing nuts and the financial types who gave us The Big Short and Liar’s Poker — there will be less for high output America. Is that good for the country as a whole? We shall see.
