Journalist and political commentator Jeff Greenfield raised an interesting question: why is the Republican leadership response to the video of Trump boasting about groping women different from their response up until now, when the pattern of Trump’s abusive behavior has been visible since the beginning of his campaign? There’s an awkward racial aspect to this question. The Republican leadership seemed to tolerate terrible comments about Mexicans, Muslims, the Central Park 5, and a Latina Miss Universe. Now that Trump is talking about groping white women, the Republican leadership is appalled.
Good question. Any Republicans out there have an answer?
